Set of Flat Panel Doors...

So Andy was in need of a set of flat panel doors. He had a TV cabinet that never had doors before. So last saturday we busted out 2 61inch X 18inch doors. I'll post a finished pic after andy paints them. Not exactly fine furniture but i was in the shop making sawdust and thats all that matters!!!

So its been a while since the last post. Angela and I had our first anniversery on 9/8/08. I got her a new pottery wheel, and she got me a Woodworker II saw blade and Microsoft Flight Simulator X. I love them both!! Hopefully i can start posting again now that the aspjpeg dll is registered correctly and the image thumbnails are being generated. talk to you guys soon.

So I thought I'd give you a tour of my humble shop...

My father and I built this shop (orginally called a shed, crazy huh?) in march of 2007. We don't have a garage and needed someplace to store the Cub Cadet and my motorcycle (they still sit outside by the way).

So maybe sketchup pissed me off a little. I decided i didn't have the time or patience right now to use it and went back to the old stand-by full scale drawing on hardboard. Oh well...another time i guess :)

So angela wants a new nightstand. Actually she doesn't have one at all so i guess she just "wants" a nightstand. Anyway i went to the saw mill up the street and purchased some walnut. I've stuck it and its drying nicely. I'm going to start the design soon and i think i'll try my hand at sketchup. i'll keep you posted!!

Day 2 in Gatlinburg..

So today we went to Ripley's Aquarium...Very nice!! Had really good gyros for lunch. Very Hot today, seemed like it was over 100 with how humid it was. We took a drive in the evening to Clingmans dome. I don't think i informed angela because as you can see in the pics below she wore a dress...High winds, and 55.... hahaha..

We made it to Gatlinburg..

So we actually made it to gatlinburg. Got here in good time too, about 4 and a half hours, not including our stop at Wendy's for lunch. The Fairfield Inn on River Road is very nice, and close to Texas Roadhouse. Which was our dinner!!
